Henry Compton resurfaces on eBay??

I just found several auctions on eBay and it appears that an old buddy of ours has resurfaced.

A few of us dealt with a guy named Henry Compton d/b/a as "Speedceeds" on eBay out of Laural MD last year. Although he shipped one of my items eventually, he never shipped the other. Several other members had similar experiences or never received anything...

In any case "sellitforparts" has a feedback rating of "1" with two "purchases" with good feedback from a username of "BACompton" also in Laurel MD. If you follow BACompton's feedback, there are several complaints that sound familiar.

Here are the three negatives...

"I DO NOT RECOMMEND! SELLER KEPT MY PYMT! DID NOT SHIP ITEM!" - "paid 10 days ago via pay pay still no goods sent**no response to msgs**" - "very slow at shipping took 18 days to get merchandise."

Obviously I think "BACompton"-"Sellitforparts"-and "Speedceeds" are all the Henry Compton that took several users money last year.

Maybe it's not the same guy, but too many concidences here to not investigate. The same broken writing style, parts that look really familiar, etc. I've sent mail to this seller with a very simple question "are you Henry Compton?" Until we hear something different I'd seriously recommend avoiding this seller!!!

Yeah, that bastard got my $12, though he did ship one item first. I love how he's selling the drier off the AC! "This part is used but work fine". What an idiot.

I used eBay's mail forwarding system to see who the "BACompton" user is by contacting someone who left negative feedback. He informed me that it was a Ms. B A Compton and gave me an address, so I'm convinced that it's his wife or girlfriend that "bought" something from him to get a decent feedback started... I'll certainly continue to follow up. I may start emailing everyone that's bidding on his stuff telling them to be careful. I bet I'll get my $42 eventually...

I filed a complaint on good ol Henry Compton with the USPS and never heard a thing. Sure looks like the same hairball that cheated people last year. Uh.... don't think I'll be bidding on his auction!! Better to donate to you local charity instead.

No doubt... I filed a complaint with eBay asking them to research his account information - but who knows if they'll respond. I'll keep everyone posted...

Hmmmmm, I work 10 miles from Laurel and I spend an hour bored to death waiting for my daughter at an activity in Laurel every week. Somebody do an ebay contact info. get his address and I'll do a driveby. Maybe leave him a little note in his mailbox, I'll take the Viper, that'll mess his mind up if he sees or hears it, I'll make sure he hears it, shall I sign it NICO's watching you? Hey, put a NICO sticker on his mailbox? I hate EBay thieves!

I sent my $27.50 to Henry Compton, 8617 Jennifer Court, Laurel, MD 20723-5923. He was always saying he was going to send the money back, going to send the money back, going to send the money back... Could you take a grunt in his mailbox for me???

I've talked to this seller before when he first started selling Q parts and I noticed the location. They said the parts were purchased from a "guy who was being evicted" at his yard sale. Looks like there may be more of a connection than that... maybe Henry just happened to have another yard sale, and this seller just happened to show up - yeah right.

I don't think they're the same person... hard to say, but I've purchased from this seller before (looking at their feedback history) with no problems. Not sure exactly what I'd say to eBay - it's deinately someone different writing these ads - this person can put words together into a sentence.

I can't swear to it - but this sure looks like our old pal Henry. This tag holder looks like the one he screwed me on judging by the picture - similar holes in the plastic wrapper.

Anyway - I'd be cautious of this guy's auctions. Looks like he's also parting out a tan 91Q (like Henry was) and Waldorf MD is another outer suburb of D.C. like Laurel MD, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is the same guy. I'll be working on finding out more.
