hey guys i have this problem with my 97 240sx
the vents would not change from vent to def..
the first thing i replaced was the bi level motor because it was bad.
then replaced the control unit and still would not change front vent to def
got a used control unit and still the same so i replaced the mode door motor and still nothing
i have not replace the air mix intake actuator but would that make the mode door actuator not work ????
i would a appreciate any help

Did you check your fuses? I had the same problem years ago and started thinking it was the HVAC control or motor for the vent controls. Turned out to be I pulled an HVAC fuse to replace a blown fuse and forgot to replace a good fuse back into it at a later date.

driver's side kick panel fuse box. left column, third down. Should be a 10A fuse.
