Helpless new owner

I do apologize if my questions have already been asked and answer. 2008 G35 (love it)1: Entered an incorrect telephone number, tagged it, unable to either edit or delete it. 2: Unable to enter a new phone number and assign it to a memory location in the range 1 -10. I had followed all related information in manuals & various websites, was unsuccessful, my conclusion is I am an idiot. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Is the car in park and maybe with the parking brake on? Not sure if this is necessary without going to my car, but I do know that is the setup when I do mine.

Hey pfarmer, good question, the car is in park & the parking brake is off. I will try it with the brake on. Thanks for the suggestion

I don't think it requires you to have your parking brake on. Parking brake is only necessary when you are setting up the seating memory. I think you're just talking before the system can recognize your voice. Wait until you hear a beep...then talk.
