My trunk release will not work with the alarm going off. What can I do to open the trunk. I already tried to send 12 volts to the fuse socket that goes to the trunk release with no luck. What can I do? please help asap. thanks
ahhh... good luck. I hope the lock smith can burn this key. holla backSHREVE66 wrote:OK, I just found out that the trunk does have a key hole. I did not know that(I'm a dummy). This helps tremendously, because I can just get a key made or a locksmith. Thx for the help guys. Oh and yes, I did use a slim-jim, this is the reason the alarm is going off. And I did lock the entire key, black remote with the silver meatl key inside of the trunk(I'm a dummy). thx
Happens, unfortunately.SHREVE66 wrote:And I did lock the entire key, black remote with the silver meatl key inside of the trunk(I'm a dummy). thx
SHREVE66 wrote:ok, locksmith cant do it. Cursed out the Infiniti dealership, so they cant do it. There has to be a way to get in the trunk with the alarm armed.
sounds like you will be purchasing a new key fob for 300+. Why'd you curse the dealership? ...and why cant they make a new key fob with the vin?SHREVE66 wrote:I locked my key in the trunk. Here are the answer to some of the questions that may help.
1. Yes it is my only key.2. Yes, I tried removing the seats.3. Yes I disconnected battery for hours and even tried pulling on the trunk while pulling on the trunk lid opener while reconnecting battery.4. Locksmiths wont touch the M45 for some reason???5. I get different answers from different Nissan dealerships whether they can make my key by the VIN. I hate to have it towed and then they say "my bad, but we can't do it"6. I tried running a hot wire straight from the battery to the fuse socket with the battery disconnected from the car, thinking the alarm was killing the hot to the fuse, but I guess it is deactivated after the fuse block and before the switch. Weird!!!
Any ideas on how to pop the trunk on my M45 2003.

A new key is $534.32, don't ask how I know.maqueswell wrote:Shreve66:
How tall are you? The small opening in the back seats, and see if you can reach the emergency trunk release cable.
Thats all i can think of.......and it'll save you $300.00

the owners manual is in the trunk with the key. Just clowning! That would be nice if that function is available on these cars. I was thinking that if you left the battery disconnected for a long period of time... that would completely reset and then he'd be allowed to use the trunk release.fayceoff wrote:Ok, I locked the keys in the trunk of my wife's Lexus GS300 (yes, I know it's not the same car, but keep reading). I looked in the owner's manual, and it explained step by step how to kill the anti-theft long enough to open the trunk, then reset it. Look in your owner's manual under 'Body, Lock, and Security'.
- I think the alarm disabled that trunk release switch.SteveTheTech wrote:If the doors are open why can't you hit the switch on the drivers door panel?
hmm. so did he get in?SteveTheTech wrote: Congrats I figured they would be able to help.
