I have a 1994 Nissan Maxima GXE with a bad fuel injector for cylinder #2. I need to find a replacement but there are two fuel injectors listed (one with a yellow dot and one with a green dot). I would like to order the part before tearing apart the plenum...... does anyone know of a different way to tell which injector to get, minus taking the old one out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

idk but if you go to a parts store and give them your vin they should tell you which one you need. maybe yellow/green for fed/cali spec?

After many hours of online research and multiple phone calls I think that I have finally found the answer. Interesting enough, the dealships were unable to help even with the VIN. I finally spoke to a tech at Advanced Auto Parts online who finally was able to provide the answer.Apparently if your car is manufactured 2/04 or after it takes a yellow dot (lower fuel pressure) and if you car was manufactured 3/04 or later it takes a green dot (higher fuel pressure). I guess I won't know for sure untill I get the parts and take the plenum off but better info then I had before. Hope that helps someone else in the future.
