Help! Xenon headlight replacement 03 I35... just bought it

Hi all,

New to the car and the site. Just bought an 03 I35. Really like the car. The drivers headlight is not working. It has the Xenon headlights. Other than the cost of the bulb, is there anything different about replacing a Xenon bulb?

Should I go to Pep Boys for $119 to buy it or are the ones on eBay for $25 ok?

Has anyone else done this job before? Someone said the bulbs dont usually fail, maybe it's something else?

Never bought bulbs off ebay so I'm not sure on that one. Just be sure to check the buyer's feedback on similar items.

Does anyone know how to remove the headlight assembly? I think I have to slide that forward in order to access the xenon bulb.

I removed the two 10mm bolts that are visible from the top. I was able to slide the inboard side of the headlight assy. out, but the outboard wouldnt budge.

Any ideas?

changed passenger side already. seem to remember going through the plastic under wheel well, should be one more 10 mm bolt you can't see from the top. then it was a struggle to pull the assembly out.
