I decided to finally fix my radio since the previous owner did a piss poor job of wiring. Anyway's while I was looking at the wiring I noticed that the black ground wire had been cut in half. Everything else is alright, it's this ground wire that is preventing me from using my radio. I tried twisting the wires together to see if my radio would work, but it didn't. Is it alright if I use male/female crimp connectors to connect the cut ground wire back together? Will this work? It's grounded properly and it's also connected to the radio, the only problem is that it's cut in half.

it'll work, but you dont have to connect it to that, you can always find a new grounding point that connect straight to the chassis of the car. some new or higher quality head units prefer you to do that

awesome... i'll give it a try. i would have tried grounding it elsewhere but the ground wire connnected to the stereo was cut really short for me to even ground it any where else.
