Okay, I've searched and searched and found different things in different places...

I have a 1995 Q45, I'll be adding come california custom lowering springs to it soon (relative term there, basically they're in my office I just need to get off my duff)... They're a 1.5-1.8" drop...

Anyway, a couple of the wheels I'm looking at are some 19X8 w/23mm offset for the front and then 19x9 w/20mm offset in the rear... Do you guys think I'll have problems with these???

I'm also looking at some FX35 wheels but I'm getting conflicting info on the offset, I've read that they're 25mm and I've read that they're 40mm... The ones I want are the 18x8s by the way....

There are some other options out there too, but I know the 350Z and G35 wheels fit so I'm not to worried about those...

TIA for the help folks...

Heath

Difficult to find a tire with sufficient load carrying capacity in 19" that will fit with a drop. Those wheels will probably not fit with those offsets.

acutally, offset wise those should fit. The Z33 track wheels fit, with the same widths and a higher offset. I would be more worried about finding out if the wheel and tire could take the load of the Q.

You should look for wheels in the 7.5" to 9" widths with 33 to 38 offsets.

IMHO, 17's the optimum size for a Q, to maintain the most tire choices. 18's work great, but the tire options or much fewer and depend moreso on the offset.

Thanks for all the replys... I ended up winning an auction for some of the 7 spoke (my favorite) G35 coupe wheels today... $655 shipped with tires (50% tread)... So not to bad... And they're gunmetal gray, so they should look very nice on the cotton white Q...

Post pics and let us know how those springs work out.

I think these are the same G35c wheels I had on my Q for a short time. The sock front tires are below load rating and on my car wanted to rub if going over a dip/bump. That's what really surprised me when the 350Z Track wheels (all math said stick out further) rub "less", and require a bigger bump/dip.

Pics and such would be great.

The G35 Coupe wheels are 18x7.5 or 18x8, with 30mm and 33mm offset (different front and rear), so make sure that you put them on the correct wheels and don't rotate front/back. I am glad you did not get the 20 or 25mm offset wheels - they would have stuck out under the fender, and using lowering springs would definitely cause tire-fender rub!

I agree with Rex about the load index. Check the tires - if they are less than 94 load index, I would certainly not use them at all! The Q wants 95 or higher, so the 94 is a definitely real minimum, IMHO!

Yes, but they would stick out under the fender for sure, and lowering springs would be troublesome.

In a Q, a bit higher offset for an 8" width would be better - like around 30mm or 33mm or maybe even 35mm. A good rule-of-thumb maximum would be 38mm (to avoid suspension contact) and I am not sure that that would not be a problem with 19" rims - the tire aspect shape may not be sufficiently curved!

And I was wrong . The ones I had were the 6 spoke 17's.

That's twice in one day I was wrong about the 6/7 spoke coupe wheels ... I'm going back into my hole now ...
