hello fellow nicoers , quick question, i searched and couldnt find a definitive answer.

im in the process of rebuilding my ka for boost and its becoming slightly apparent that my engine may not be the stock engine.

question is, the numbers that are stamped on the block,is there any way to match it to the chassis vin? if so, which numbers do i compare? thx for any info guys

They make stamps that you can purchase they are a combination of letters and numbers on a pull back style stamp. You can most likely stamp the head if you cannot stamp into the block since it is iron vs aluminum.

i think he means check to see if his engine is the original..
not how to change the vin...

the serial number should be stamped on the passenger side top edge closest to the firewall.

the last few numbery bits in the vin are the serial number and should match the serial number stamped onto the block.

here read some stuffss
