help with upgrading ignition

i've been wanting to upgrade the ignition system but all i could find are the splitfire coil pack system. that system looks good but its too damn expensive. is there any other way to upgrade the ignition system a bit without breaking the bank?

Sure, an ignition amplifier from the likes of AEM, HKS, or XS Engineering. There's more out there but this is what came to my head first.

i read up on the xs engineering one. is it safe to splice something like that into the harness?

you could also wire in a msd box...
