help with turbo coolant line

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

i am upgrading to the t61 turbo and it is oil cooled only so my ?.what do you do with the water line running from the turbo along the back side of the engine?can i just eliminate this line all together or what i am a little stumped thanks for any help my engine is the RB25dets2

I'd just plug it. block fitting is m14 x 1.5 you should be able to find a metric oil pan plug in that size. Not sure how the coolant return line is ran on rb25, if it uses the y fitting on the back of block you could cap it off... GL

it runs back to the intake mani.capping it off was what i was thinking just wanted to get some input before i started thanks

Ideally you'd find a way to keep the coolant circulating through that portion of the IM... But you should be just fine capping it off. GL

if you got some fittings I'm sure you could find a way to route it back to the block...
