help with trans swap

Hey guys Iam new to this site wondering if you guys could help me out. I have a crashed 97 pathfinder, and recently bought a 98 qx4 with a bad trans. I was wondering if I could swap in my trans from the pathfinder. I know the qx4 is electronicly controlled, but is there a way I can bypass this? the motors are the same just not the trans.
