help with this damn drive axle

i just bought a s13 red top, im putting it in my 240 and when im tightening the engine down i noticed that the little pipe that goes into the exhaust manifold hits the drve axle. did i do something wrong or is that a mod everyone comes accrossswamping the engine?

im having trouble visualizing your problem.

the manifold is in the front. the axles are in the back.

could you clarify please?

my bad , ok the exhaust manifold has a pipe going into it coming from the top, that little pipe hits the shaft coming out of the steering wheel when i place the engine into place, the right side clears ok but when the left side goes in it slides into place to but that damn pipe hits. hopfully u get the picture anyways ive moved the mount up as far *** posibble and that damn pipe hits i even turned the mount upside down but it still hits. also thanks for helpiong this is killing me
