i am looking for the best suspension set up for the least amount of dough. i am going with KYB AGX adjustables all around but im not sure about whether to get springs or coilovers. if springs what is the best for handling. im not too considered about comfort although a little is good. if i go coilovers i would get ground control. i can get the ground control coilovers and KYB agx struts preasembled for 849.?.? is that good or should i look into a full coiloer system like tein or apex i? i want the most bang for the buck. plus if i want extreme hanlding should i add anti-roll bars and the likes as well. INFO INFO INFO! thanx

get a comlete coil over kit, I wish I did! It gives you full adjustability, height, damper, ect.....

sway bars, front and rear, is the best bang for your buck when it comes to suspension (so I am told).

I have a front strut tower brace, it made a HUGE difference entering and exiting turns, and I expect the rear to do the same. http://www.PDM-Racing.com has a special on them for $40 each.

If you really want to go all out, you can replace your bushing all around, pdm also carries these.

Since you are kinda tight for cash, you may either want to wait and save up for a coil over system, or just start off with the smaller items, sway bars first?

oh, and do a search please, this topic has been discussed a billion times, you should be able to find some good input with a search, and it will save you time, instead of sitting by the cpu and hoping someone replies.

good luck!

yeah, definately save up for complete coilovers. I have KYB AGXs with Eibach Sportlines, i mean i'm really happy with them. I just wish it was a little lower. I also have front and rear strut tower braces, i got them before i got the KYBs, they made a huge difference i think, they were definately worth the money.

The best bang for your buck is to LEAVE IT STOCK!!!! Modifying your car is not for the faint of heart or light of wallet. If you don't have the green then don't run around trying to make your car look cool using **** from Home Depot and super glue. Your car will be ghetto and everybody will laugh at you!!! When you have the money to do it right then, by all means, go crazy with the mods. Until then save your clams. :sleep

who said i was poor and didnt have any cash or style! i wanted to know what the best bang for my buck is. im not gonna drop 2g's on some apex i coilovers when i get tein HA's for a 1000 and be just as good. And for your info i am not a F****n ricer. so dont think im tryin to make a damn intake from dryer vent tubing. maybe you could keep your mouth shut and just answer my question. thanks to everybody else's input i will get coilovers, but i do want to know which ones. and if your such a racer why do you have a loaded car. thats sounds gay but if you want speed you dont need power windows and cruise control. thanks for your 2 cents and ill never listen to your info because its useless.

sorry for all the flames guys. but seriously there are so many threads that get started by someone who just wants to know what others have already learned that turn into more of a chat session than what it is really trying to be used for. but it kills me when people put their 2 cents in when its really not worth 2 cents. and i hate rice by the way. the guy that lowers a prelude and puts 100 spokes with a coffee can muffler with stock piping and the big APC sticker on the front AND back needs to be shot and killed. right now i am tryin to make my car look nice without being overdone. i plan on swapping a SR within a year and my hp goals are at least 300 at the wheels. once again sorry for the flames.

lol, lost to a K car, that was the best flame ever!!!!

55, don't expect everyone to jump on here and answer your questions, you gotta pay your dues.

Bomex, homemade intakes are ghetto, but some people would actually respect you for coming up with the idea and exicuting it all by yourself, not to mention the extra cash you save that can be put towards the purchase of another performance component. Call me cheap, but I see no point to buy something for $400, when I can make one myself that will give the same results for $40. Well, I guess you can't turn any heads without the ricer chromed out intake extension.

No, I didn't build my own CAI, but I slapped the cone filter on the end myself, and I am going to make a ghetto *** home depot filter extension to run the filter into my bumper. And I do have $400 to buy the injen CAI, but I rather upgrade my sways. And I do have cash for both, no I'm not rich, and I have better things to spend my last cent on.

Not trying to flame you, just want to play devils advocate (and I was a little offended, no worries)

:D

sorry there s14. i am new on this forum but not hardly new to the community. it just really pisses me off when somebody asks a perfectly reasonable question on here and there seems to always be one jerk off that posts a stupid i-think-im-bad answer. not just me but im sure there is at least somebody who will flame a newbie because " its fun" thats what turns away people from places. thats my 10 cents cause my 2 cents is free. <------ (gay eminem quote)

LOL, I hear ya man!!! I'm actually that A hole that jumps on the chat rooms and just starts going ape dung on everyone! No worries, flaming noobs is fun, just don't take anything to heart from this board and you'll be ok.

And i was trying to tell you as politley as I could in my first reply, do a search! Expect members to reply in a harsh manner if you do repost a topic that has been discussed since the day the site opened. A reasonable question, yes, but you could have found an answer by doing a search, and then maybe asking for opinions? Any way, I don't mind, but it tends to get annoying after a while.

welcome to the board (hopefully you'll be with us a while)

Maybe home depot cai extensions are ghetto, but for $6.50, mine works very well, and you can't tell from the outside it's homemade. Sounds good, too.
