hey guys heres my issue. i just did my sr swap and got it to start. n ow it sounded and idled like crap but i was sure that was the timing since Crank Angle Sensor was out of the motor and i just popped it in. there was a grinding noice coming from the CAS and i wasnt sure what it was so i posted on here. a member posted that i might have no put it in right and the dots need to be alighned. so i took my valve cover off and alligned it and then put it back in. then i noticed that i wanted more leght for the harness going to the O2 sensor so i cut it and extended it with speaker wires ( not sure if thats wrong?!) well when i went ot start it agian it wouldnt start. so i took the extention off and still wont start. anyone out there can help. explain to me how to install a CAS, anyone wanna come down and time my car* willing to pay* or is there a way to extend the O2 sensor wiring that i dont know about. please help me out guys. THANKS!

well make sure to use the right gauge of wire for whatever you are extending. The CAS sensor dot should be i believe two teeth to the right of the other dot before you put it in. when you install it, make sure its in its upright position, because when it meshes, the dots will align on their own.

ur car might be flooded with fuel if you attempted to start it so many times without success. hit me up at my e-mail and ill give you my number to call me. i live in NOR CAL 707 area.

There is a definite way to check over the timing. With the CAS, it shouldn't be too bad since the other mechanical parts are still in sync. So find out what the timing is currently set at. Remember to use the black loop at the back of the coilpack harness to check timing.

The extension of the O2 sensor wiring is a bit rougher. There are two black and one white. The white is shielded. You need to use shielded wiring for that. If I recall correctly it should be 18 gauge.

There's another reason for the no start. Is it turning over at all?
