Help with speakers

I know this is kind of a stupid question, but I really need to know-what size are the front door speakers in my car? Its a '91 240 LE. I tried to measure them, but all you can see without taking the whole door panel apart is the grill that covers them. This is no help because it measures 9 inches by 5 inches, which is not a standard size for speakers. Do I get 5 1/4s or 6 1/2s or 6X9s or something else? I want to get new ones sinse the old ones are blown, but I can't if I dont know what size they are. Thanx in advance. :help

To replace them, you have to take the door panel off anyway.... I think you can see where I'm going with this.

Almost any stereo shop will have the specs on file, ask them. They will even sell you some, and install them if you want!;)

S13 FB uses 4x6 on all four corners. (my first car was a white 91 fb LE with grey leather.... RIP)

S13 coupe uses 4x6 in door and mabey a 6.5 in the rear, dunno on the rear.

S14's use 6.5 all 4, and 3/4 tweets in the pillars on 6 speaker stereo.

Sweet, thanx man. See the trouble with taking the thing in and ripping it apart is that I don't want to buy speakers from some shop. I know a guy whos got this hook up on the internet that lets him get all kinds of speakers for way lower that dealer prices. Thanx 4 the info though:ylsuper

i dont have front speakers at all.. and i cant get around my manual crank.. its pissing me off because i would some quality sound.. as of right now i have a 3speaker setup.. two 6x9's in the back of the coupe deck.. and 1 mtx 10" sub wit amp combo..please help!1!!:thinker :dogpile
