Help with Smart key Fob - 2006 G35

Hello to all. I just purchased my 2006 G35 this weekend and am excited to be part of the group here.

I have a question about the "smart Key" that came with the car.

It only came with one, and i'm very scared that i will lose it. Can anyone recommend how i can purchase a second fob, and how i go about programming it? I would be happy enough with just getting a copy of the key made, but was told by my hardware key guy that he could not do this since it had a chip in it.

I know that i can purchase all of this through the dealer, but is there a less expensive way to go about it? I see them for sale on ebay....is that an option? will the dealer program one for me?

I think you can save some money by getting the fob from e-bay, then have the dealer program it.
