ECM is only going to control the engine. TCM is going to control the transmission. BCM is going to control you body (windows, lighting, gps, etc) These are all communication errors. Seems some connectors and plugs were not properly installed. I would go back to Nissan, or whoever fixed your vehicle and demand a recheck of all the wiring. Or do it yourself. Get in the FSM (
http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Altima/2008/ ) and download those files. Then proceed to find the location of the ECM, TCM , and BCM. Make sure those are all connected correctly, then follow the spider harnesses around your drivetrain/body and see if any are blatently dissconnected. Good luck

Interesting information on multipule CAN issues that showed up on the CVT Murano after its crash tests.
Actually a small issue has cropped up with Can Communications on Nissan's. Your Murano should be checked for Can code U-1000 or U-1001. There is a service bulletin. Controller Area Network of CAN one or more computers are not talking to each other on start up. But Take it to the best Nissan Dealer near you. Many dealers will say your not experencing any driveability problems we just cleared the code BYE. The actuall repair for CAN U-1000 is grounding problems that in some cases require removing the dash.
