Help with s14 instrument lights, tails, corners, markers

Hey guys, first let me start off by saying I've searched and analyzed the hell out of every wiring diagram in the FSM but I need some pointers.

I have a s14 was an auto converted to 5 speed. I've had the car for 6 years but its been in storage. The instrument lights do not work as well as the tail lights (brakes work, different circuit) licence plate light, front corner lights, and front side markers do not work. It keeps popping fuses the second I turn on the light switch.

Do you think that there is a short on the engine bay side or in the dash? Im just wondering if where its popping fuses if that will tell me where to start looking for shorts or melted wires. Also looking at the FSM diagram I need to have a ASCD illumination wired into the circuit. Where is that switch located.

Another thing is where it was an automatic it has illumination wires going to the automatic shift controller unit. Can I jumper my wires (red/blue, red/yellow) together to complete the circuit. Im assuming if one bulb is bad the whole circuit is dead but I still dont think i'd be popping fuses. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys, Im about 75% done with the build and need to get a few little problems off my list

i also did an auto to manual swap in my s14 never had any issues with the lights only issue i had was the blinkers didnt work cause i didnt have the radio and all that other stuff plugged in
