I am currently trying to decide what I want to do with my exhaust. When i bought the car, it came with this huge *** muffler on it. I'm sure its not the biggest around, but I hate the loud *** thing. What i want to do is replace it with something that looks good, but is not loud. My car is a stock s13 hatchback, with no real need for this huge *** thing. I sometimes don't get off work until 1 am, and i dont like coming home that late and being loud as ****. I hate the fact that people can hear me comin from 2 states away. Does anyone have any suggestions on mufflers that look good? I'm gonna go for a ride and take some new pix, maybe I'll get some of the exhaust. Thanks.

Thats funny, I just bought a s13 fastback and it has a loud asss exhaust on it too, this one is from the cat back though. I was thinking maybe seeing if I could get a silencer from some place, like measure the exhaust tip and then see what other exhaust systems have that size tip and I assume the silencer from that exhaust would fit mine. I dont know how to tell which brand is mine, that would make it alot easier. I cant deal with that loud of an exhaust coming from a slow stock car:oface

I have your same problem. Im going to get a resonator in it as soon as I stop being lazy. If I still dont like the sound ill probably try and get a stock exhaust and replace it.

If you guys are interested, I (BRM) can sell you JUST the resonator (in 14", 18" or 22") in whatever diameter you want.

Not a big deal to have it welded in, and the resonator will decrease the volume without impacting performance.

OR, check the sticky at the top of this forum, as we have some smoking deals on entire catback systems for the S13/S14.

Thanks guys - Hope this helps!

I just got my resognator put into my exhaust. Only cost $40 for everything and those guys are considered expensive. So im pretty sure resognator would be your least expensive way to go.
