Help with RUST REMOVAL

anything to do with DIY rust removal is appreciated

i tried amazon and they have jack squat. I'm looking for anything, books, websites, instructions, common facts etc about rust, how to remove it, how to prevent it, how to paint a rusted area after you somehow get rid of the rust, and most imporantly how much rust is too much and what to do when you have too much rust but cant throw the car away!!

well i went on amazon, and they didnt have anything... and if amazong doesnt have anything, then i'm honestly at a loss

all the articles i read about body restoration go something like this

" before applying a coat of this ultra cool paint with a syphon filtered brush made in germany you must remove the rust"

" now that you have removed the rust apply the new coat of paint"

its the part in the middle that no one seems to bother writing about!!
