help with rims size??????

well my question would be whats the best size of rims for drifting, that would be for rear and front. i was thinking about (rear- 18x8) and (front-17x7.5) take it easy on me im a NOOB!!!!!!!!!! need help please im confuse!!!!!!!. another noob question whats offset?
