First time poster and newb here, so have some patience please, i am in the middle of replacing my clutch and have the throw out bearing, pilot bushing, clutch plate and cover installed and only need to stab the trans in. my problem is that when i try to stab the trans the bell housing hits the under body before i can get close enough with the shaft. And i am hoping for some tips or tricks on how to get this trans back in without beating dents into the under body or pulling out the engine to angle it more.

i have tried jacking up the front of the engine but that only gives about an inch for a better angle before it starts raising the car.

When takin out the trans it is hitting the under body of course and was causing a big pain pulling it out and new it was gonna be a b**** to get back in.

Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated

rotate the trans so the starter boss on the bellhousing is pointing down, stab the shaft in then rotate it back and slide it on the dowels.
