ok so i replaced my hatch but the one i got didnt have any wiring for the 3rd brakelight so i had to swap over my wiring from my old hatch. putting the hatch on was cake but running the wires down the sides is not fun at all, i've been trying now for the past week for about an hour a day and i still cant get it. i've tryed using a stretched out coat hanger, a heavy bolt with a string attached and all sorts or stuff. please help me out. anyone who has any ideas of how to run the wires down the side of the hatch i'm all ears.

its possible to remove the wiper hatch harness without cutting any wires. really all it took was a little manipulation to get the connectors through. suggest tying some fishing line on to each as a precaution before pulling em out but i didnt have any problems.

Nissan article DIY: Replacing Your Rusted Hatch says to cut them. this isn't necessary.

alright, getting the wiper harness fed back into the new hatch is a pain in the arse.

wear latex gloves unless your retarded like me because theres grease all over the harness.

new hatch didnt have wiper so i cut and sealed certain wires but principles the same.

-weed wacker line works best -thread line through the hatch in a loop-split harness wrap all the way up.-wrap connectors to line with duct tape and pull through one at a time to avoid getting stuck-viola done

tried em all at once, not happening

this is coming from an electrician.

Go to home depot or whoever and ask for a small roll of "fish tape" maybe 10 feet or the smallest. Hook your wires over the end (make sure to tape them) that should come pre-bent and run them where you want. Its easier to use than a coat hanger, and its strong enough that it wont bend up easily so you get a straight pull. It will flex to go around corners though. You can also buy some cheap "wire lube" that will allow you to run them without any resistance. Its kinda like snot, so of course wear gloves.
