Hey everyone, I posted this a while ago in a different section but no takers. Anyone here can help?

how-to-replace-bulbs-in-2009-oem-fogs-t507358.html

Basically, I want to replace the bulbs in my oem fog lights (2009, coupe). I have hid headlights but these yellow'ish fogs makes the hid's look like crap. The fogs are cramping my lights :lolling:

I want to know how to replace the bulbs with some nice bright, white or blue'ish bulbs. Don't really need to replace the whole assembly with hid fogs.

You can buy a 35W HID set (DDM Tuning) and replace the Bulb with the HID. No need to change the assembly. If you have specifc questions, let me know I've replaced mine with HID

i had updated the foglights to luminics bulbs.. which were nice for just the "look" for a year.... but then i wanted more. so for like $40 i got a set of raptor hid for lights "plug & play kit" and havent looked back since. i got the yellow for contrast look and performance.. more light on the road is awesome at night. seriously it was very easy.. the hard part was figuring out how to mount the ballast... but i bought doubled sided outdoor tape by Gorilla (they make gorilla glue, etc) and cleaned the back of the ballast with alcohol and wiped the the car frame too and waited till it dried and then mounted. no issues. and they light right up even with the fog light switch on the stem (auto-on)

no issues and have had them since last year.

jack car up
crawl under front end
remove bottom plasic cover by popping out the plastic rivet type things with a flat bladed screwdriver (put flat bladed on the top circle of the two on the plastic pieces and pry out)

that should give you access to the back of the fog lights then you can do as GrayCoupe above said

For those who have used ddm tuning what all did you choose from the drop down boxes? What wattage? What bulb type? What bulb color did you prefer? Do I need the HID harness, or error eliminator, or adapter cables? I dont know anything about HID lighting but I want to change my fog lights into HID's.... Any feedback from people who have done it just let me know.

I have 35W 6,000 Kelvin Digital Slim Ballast in both my heads and fogs. You dont need anything else at all. Remove the OEM bulb, install the HID bulb, mount the ballast somewhere nearby, connect the wiring...it really is that simple.

Well I have the stock low beam HID already so I shouldnt have to change anything of that out. Just the fogs but I appreciate the info. Looks like I have a project to do in the next couple weeks. On the website it gives you the option for all these different kinds of bulb types etc though. I understand now 35w with slim ballast but what about the rest of the info you have to choose from. Im mainly speaking of ordering from ddm tuning. What are the colors of the different brightness? Does anyone know. I want something either yellow in color or something more of a blue in color.

Yellow will be lower Kelvin number, blue will be higher. They have a chart specific to their product on the website that shows the Kelvin rating and the resulting color. Bulb size is H11 if thats also what you were asking.

I have 8000k lows and fogs from DDM tuning. and 6000k high beams. I love DDM tunning. I have them, my friend with an rsx type-s have them, and my friend with a silverado have them. None of us have ever had any problems with em. Never heard anything bad with DDM. and they are so cheap. I have the 35 watt slim ballast for all of mine.
