I am trying to change out the altenator belt in my 1987 300zx Turbo and I followed the haynes and loosened the right bolts that it told me to, but i cannot get it to move. I also need to take off the power steering belt to get to the altenator belt and I cannot get it to move either. If you could please give me some help with what im doing wrong i would appreciate it. I know I am missing something somewhere but I have no idea what.

See the bolt at the pivot point for the alt bracket? You missed a bolt there. Nissan sneaked one on the back. If that's loose then you should be able to undo the tensioner and take the belt off.
I believe the z31 ps is tightened by was of an idler pulley loosen the center bolt on that pulley then the bolt above is can be turned to move the pulleyp up for tightening and down to loosen

Nope. That's for the AC belt.
The PS belt is adjusted by a bolt underneath the PS pump. It's usually caked in oil and grease, so it's difficult to see. But it's there.

Okay, I will give that a try tonight and hopefully all goes well. I am so anxious to start driving this car, the most i could drive it was around the block considering i am running straight off the battery.
