I have a 95 240sx base model, it's a 5 speed. I had a mechanic do a motor swap for me, and install a new clutch. This mechanic is obviously the worst I've seen yet.

3 problems have occured: The radiator fan (fan that blows at the radiator), does not spin, the belts that hook up to it do not spin - therefore the car overheats every few minutes. Also, what kind of coolant should I use for my 240sx, and what is the mixture? The power steering no longer works. The transmission sometimes sticks to first or reverse and makes a screeching/grinding noise and you have to force it out to neutral.

Any ideas for anything? It's much appreciated.

#1. tighten the belts to make the fan spin#2. personally I've switched all the cars I service to the red Toyota coolant. It's good stuff. Otherwise, I'd just get some regular green prestone and mix it with distilled water (I use alhambra as they don't put any salt in it which can corrode aluminum).#3. Is the belt to the power steering pump tightened? I'm assuming this "mechanic" didn't tighten this one either.#4. how long has it been since your gear oil change? If this "mechanic" is as bad as I'm getting the impression he/she is you might want to change gear oil. Take it to a shop (or do it yourself) and have them change your gear oil with either Redline MT90, Valvoline Synchromesh, or my personal favorite Motul Motylgear. If none of those above are used, make sure they use a GL-4 spec oil, GL-5's are not good for your transmission.

Awesome, thanks so much, I'll take a look at it.

Well the fan doesn't spin because the cranks and pulleys or whatever don't spin at all either. So tightening the belts won't do anything.

pull off the crank pully and make sure there is a woodruff key in the crank.
