help with over heating

Hey i have a 93 240 that has a sr20det in it basicly my flex a lite fans arent coming on because the relay is frying..the 4 pronged harness keeps melting and the relay pluged into it blow...also i know the fans work because i tested them but they make a werid noise like there having a hard time spinning but there is nothing in the way of the fans to make the moter work harder.only thing i can think of is my grounds are bad in the car...or the relay harness is no good and i need to get a new one and cut and splice

Anyone have any idea where i can get a new relay harness?

Do you have the fans set as a push or pull? I had mine set as a push on accident and it overheated and fried fuses all the time... Set it as a pull and my problem was fixed.

If your sure it was wired correctly you may have a bad fans.

Do the fans spin freely when spinning by hand? Is so move on, if not the fan motor is bad. Try connecting the fans right to a battery only to test, no relay. If they still sound funny, then it sounds like a DC motor brush or even fan bearing issue. If not rewire the fans, I suggest using the Perma--Cool fan relays. They are beefy and rated in RMS not peak current :bow down
