Alright, I have a 1990 240SX that is pretty much stock(KA24E,SOHC). After inspecting the original fuel pump I found that the strainer had pretty much been completely torn to shreds while it was in the tank. I did my best to Vacuum up any remnants of the old strainer, and installed a new fuel pump as well as a new strainer.
I can hear it prime, so I dont think it is any longer the issue.
I pulled the hose running to the filter and ofcourse fuel came out, so its almost as if my injectors just arent spraying at all.
However, I believe it is still a fuel issue because the car will start for a few seconds if starting fluid is used, but the car still does not start after replacing the fuel pump.
1.) What Ive noticed is a pretty loud electrical buzzing sound from the engine bay. Thie noise is only apparent when the key is in the on position. Seems to be coming from behind the eCCS(Closer side on the fire wall.)
When I pull the plug located behind the eccs, it does stop. Or when I pull the fuse for the engin Cont.
I mention this noise because that plug is awfully close to where the fuel injectors are, so Im wondering if this is the source of my problem
Any ideas what may be causing this?
I have a few like the CAS or the ECU, but the distributor seems to work fine.
Any help, ideas are appreciated, thanks, and if theres any specific pictures I should post let me know.
