Alright fellas i have been wanting to boost the ka for a while now and i have the cash but not so much the knowledge. I'm a noob when it comes to turbo charging and just need some help deciding on a few parts. I'm shooting for around 275-300ish hp.

So far i have:gt2876r.64 internal wastegate255 walbro fuel pump550cc sard injectorsjgs oil line kitssac turbo manifold godspeed intercooler kit greddy rs bovwastegate actuator from atp.comand thats the end of the list i have already decided to go with tune from local shop, 3in straight exhaust, nismo adjustable FPR

What I need help with deciding:

boost controller turbo timer

I'm just not sure what to go with for my goals. Please fill me in if i forgot to list something. I have been researching on this but there is so much available I'm unsure what to go with. This isn't on a real tight budget but I'm shooting for best bang for my buck. Thanks in advance and any advice is appreciated.

intercooler and piping - ebay.

Turbo manifold - ebay. SSAutochrome bottom mount t2 to be exact. Best manifold for the money.

down pipe - ebay. Try and get one with flix pipe in it.

Boost controller - if you are cheap like me, you can get an ebay manual boost controller and use this write up zerothread?id=346138 to set it up. If you aren't cheap then go with a trusted name...apexi, aem, greddy.

BOV - circuit sports has a top fuel bov for 65 bucks, but I can't say anything about the quality since I don't have one. I'm getting a forge bov off of craigslist, and if that's not there when I get back home I'll get the top fuel one.

Wastegate is internal, so no actuator is needed...unless it's not on the turbo already. I'm pretty sure the actuator is the gold looking thing that the arm is connected to. Post up a pic of what you have and people will tell you what to get.

Hope this helps, and happy boosting!

The gold thing on the right with the nipple is the actuator. Ebay for that too, I'm pretty sure they have them.

Haha i'm bored so I checked ebay, here's one. Even has an adjustable arm so you run higher boost before the wastegate opens.

with a gt2876r.64 your going to want to run 550 inj instead of sr 370 inj. if you had a t25 then i'd say go with the 330 inj

if you are sort of on a budget, i wouldn't even get a boost controller. just get a stock t28 wastegate actuator. they usually run at 10psi. with blow bye you'll be a few psi above that. this will make the motor be a little safer and expect 250ish whp if done right.

300zx filter/ or larger aftermarket

370's should do the job upto about 10 pounds anything more and I would crank that afpr up a tad. 550 may be overkill in your case HOWEVER if you have the flow to do it, go ahead cause you will want more boost in the future

ebay all of it minus the turbo.... electronics...

I think i a can get a boost controller so i guess i wouldn't need the route of stock t28 wastegate actulator. i have another 2 grand to put into this setup. I just want to get the best bang for my buck though ya know

If you have another 2 grand, then I'd say go ahead and get the 450cc injectors and the z32 maf, then when you get a tune specify those details. That way in the future, when you want to upgrade all you need is a bigger turbo, your tune, injectors, and maf will be able to handle up to like 400 hp. With my setup, if I ever want to upgrade to a t3 turbo, I'll have to get bigger inkectors and a new maf, where as all you will have to get is a new turbo. Since you have the cash, do it, you won't regret it lol.

what are 450cc injectors capable of supporting? I might make the leap and buy 740cc injectors, and the z32 maf. thanks again for your help...hey when i am looking up intercoolers on ebay should i search for sr20det intercoolers? and does anyone have another suggestion for the wastegate actulator?

^ 7xxcc is not necessary for something just around 300HP. That's overkill.

Btw, that's a pretty nice budget you have. Most people have half that. I see no problem in you easily being able to reach your 275-300HP goal. Good luck.

Try looking for an intercooler with piping specifically for an s14 ka24de. I bought one for an sr/ka because the s13's throttle bodies basically the same as sr's, but s14's are a little different...I think.

If it's getting tuned, you might as well get injectors big enough to support your next mods, cause you WILL want to add more boost. Trust me on this...

I'd use 72lb injectors, they will idle just like stock if tuned well and give you enough room to grow when you decide to. That way you don't buy things more then once.

300 is fun, but 400 is wicked fun....lol.

Just go no smaller than 550cc's, ever. Unless your on a strict budget, and your not. I kicked myself for going with 550cc's, but i lucked out and traded them for 850's of the same high quality (Sard/Denso) so its all good. 850 is about the limit of a stock ECU. Anything more than that and your going into pulse widths that are really only capable of being created by standalones.

When your talking 72lb injectors your usually talking MSD and a top feed rail setup. I think CC(metric) is more commonly used on jap motors. So you will basically find a lot more Ka/Sr injectors in 550cc ect ect than you will 72lbs.

I'd run a stock flywheel, with a ACT clutch.
