Ok just bought this sr'ed s13 fastback just some minor (hopefully) issue. Its runnin pretty rich i have a suspision its the o2 sensor or maf but heres whats happening

from about 2k to 3.7k it feels like a total pig just no power and feels kinda boggy if you will. But soon as turbo spools it feels great but it still may be questionable if im reciving all the power the sr puts out.

At idle you can kinda here kinda a poppy noise almost like idle is changing but the tach shows no change what so ever.

I unpluged and ran the car around with no o2 sensor feels same as when it was in.

Injectors look good but who knows.

Just changed oil/sparks. cleaned maf its not the bov that thing i shut off as in i have compressor surg instead of a bov yes i know its going to reduce the life of my turbo blah blah blah but its just until i get a blow thru set.

car is a redtop sr 91 fastback no modds and its a stock 240sx exhaust smic

Thanks for any input Dan

Edit. When i let the car cool down (sit for a while) when i start it up it has super rough idle and some times stalls

yep. mine jumped about 5-10 degrees one time, and i lost most of the power the car was producing.

Do you need a certain tool to check your timing?

Go with the easier one to check instead of randomly replacing parts. Borrow a friends timing light and check the timing. You can probably find a used maf from the sohc pretty cheap. I sold mine to a local a lil while back for like 20 bucks.

you could also have a boost leak....is boost slow to build?? also you could have an exaust leak before the turbo as well...you never mentioned that so its a thought

im trying maf and i cant check timing until i find a extra spark wire cause light isnt pickin up the out side signal. i had a small boost leak i could hear it through cold pipe fixed it but problem still remain so im gonna basicly take apart every pipe off enspect them and reatatch.
