I know im gonna get flamed for this but can anyone help me with my coilovers? I dont know what im doing. ive searched and still didnt get anywhere.

I have just installed my stance basic coilovers and i dont know how to adjust the ride height. instructions that came with it sucks. my rears are too low and my fronts are too high. didnt adjust anything besides the damper.

can someone please help me. Do i have to take the bolts off again to adjust the ride height? i dont want it slammed..just want it high enough so the tires doesnt go past the fenders

Are there any shops that can do this for me?

The body of the damper is threaded. "Screw" the body into the lower mount (which is what attaches to the "thing" that holds your wheel). You may need to un-screw the lock rings that are adjacent to the lower mounts in order to accomplish this. After you're done, tighten the lock rings.

Then press "search". Aftewards, call up shops, and if they cannot help you then ask if they can refer you to shops that can.

You have to jack up the car and turn this threaded body. I wear rubber gloves when I did mine, and it worked like a charm. Use your leg to support the bottom and lift up a little bit. It's easier that way. Get a tape measure and measure here and there, so you can have even height on all 4 corners. You will have to spend some time to get right height, dampening and stuff. It's fun, so enjoy...

sorry bringing this one back from the dead...

I mounted some 18" 350z rims today and it is now rubbing...I spent 4 hours trying to adjust the height so it doesnt rub on the front wheelwells...

Can someone please tell me how to make the ride height higher than already is? which one do affects the height? the bottom collar thing thats attached to the calipers? i tried to turn that thing down as much as i could and it is still the same.

i just need to raise it about 1.5 inches

just screw the collar up towards the spring, it helps to have the weight off that given corner to adjust it, and if you can't get enough, replace the coil with a higher spring rate, and son't forget after adjusting ride height you'll need a fresh alignment

so the collar up towards the spring will raise it up? damn i thought it was the other way around since it'll be farther away down from the spring.I actually moved it up and didnt see a difference in the height. I'll give it another shot middle of next week since i'll be working for the next three days. thanks evildky

any other helpful suggestion guys? easier for me to do this on my own.

What are you smoking???

Loosen the bottom collar, and turn the threaded body like the dude said above acouple posts, rubber gloves help...

or do it the correct way and take the bottom 2 bolts out and just spin the base. Then bolt it back up your ready to go. The bottom base determines the height.

Explain what you are doing that come up with no results, i'm thinking you arent understanding correctly...

technically, you want the base to screw downward to raise the car... Think about it this way, the base installed on your car is in the same place no matter what height they are set at. Lowering the base makes more threaded area above it, thus increasing the height of the car.

Just think about it and stare at your coilovers awhile and you'll see.
