I just recently bought a 1989 240SX. Not the last owner but the owner before installed an alarm system. My uncle WAS going to help me install a new radio today but never showed up and I disconnected negative from the battery. I tried reconnecting the battery and now the car alarm goes off. Can someone help me by telling me what I should do? I don't want to annoy any of the neighbors, they call the cops for anything.

I believe you need to remove the fuse, reconnect the battery, and then use a pen to push the reset button on the bottom of the alarm controller. But that all depends on the manufacturer. I suggest looking up their website or give them a call.

No, I don't even have an alarm, just going by past experience.

What you could do is, connect the battery (alarm will be going off) then run quickly into the car and put key into switch and turn the key...happend to me when i was putting a battery into a friends car. Good luck.

Unbolt the lower dash on the driver side. You'll see a black box that's hanging out in there. If you just disconnect the wires from it you should be all set.

Yeah, the alarm on one of my 240s is sensitive as F@$@! my 240 with the stock exhaust just going around the yard sets it off, it's ridiculous.

As for the neighbors, yesh i know what you mean, looky heres...
