i mean, i dont mind spending at most $1000 on this car but after spending that much, I expect peace of mind for at least a while
You purchased a car with 177000 miles on it { at least, did you verify the mileage discrepency with the service due at 206000 miles? } the downside of buying a reliable brand of high mileage vehicle just means that many, many parts that have already failed and been replaced on a non reliable brand, aka cadillac, lincoln, audi, etc, are just around the corner from failure, and will need to be replaced by you! the alternator, starter, water pump, struts, air conditioning system, rack, transmission, driveshaft, etc are probobly original and even with superior maintenance from day one( very unlikely}are ending their useful life.It amazes me why people buy such high mileage cars for low purchase prices, and dont see all the failures waiting to happen.
