I just bought it and noticed something I didn't notice when I test drove it.

when i'm speeding and I apply brakes, i feel the brakes shaking in my leg.

also when am accelerating, am i supposed to hear the actual acceleration or is something wrong with the vehicle??

advice needed

For the brake, it's time to turn your brake rotors. I need to turn my rotors every 10k mile to keep them smooth. I recently replaced the factory rotors with the crossdrilled and slotted ones and brand new factory pads, front and rear. My brake is very smooth now. Got the C/D rotors (F and R) on eBay for about $180 with shipping. I have about 500-700 miles on the new rotors and pads. So far so good. Will update for more when the rotors see 3000 miles mark.

The muffler of this car made it a very quiet car. After all, it is a touring car. I put an air intake and a muffler in my car and it sounds just right.

Thanks for answering me.

now, regarding the second question. what i meant was that when I accelerate, I expected the infiniti q45t to just flee off as smooth as ever. i mean, I dont know what else i have to do to make this car smooth. its just that I hate to spend over 500 dollars just to make it normal.

as far as the rotors being turned for the brakes, does anyone know of the general price it would be for that? i dont plan on taking it to the infiniti dealership cause i know they will try to rape me

1)A certain egine room growl is normal from a 32 valve V8 and considred desirable by most.Or do you have a loose exhaust or something? Stuill a bit unclear on your actual symptoms.

2) The Infinti dealer may be more but may also be mroe likely to do a good job.Of course its not hard job but I had a perfectly good brembo rotor once ruined by a large brake shop that did a poor job of turning. So yews all sorts of places can do it its pretty standard, your delaer will likely do it well, tho some oteh local shops may do it well too.

i dont know if anyone is familiar with Vespias. thats the auto shop i plan on taking my vehicle to. i like em because they will straight up reject any car that can't work on.

i just had someone who knew a lot about cars check out my car. he said he's surpised a car with so much miles (173000)can be that good. however, he adviced i have the brakes checked and also the shocks.

thank you palmer

You may want to reconsider owning any luxury performance automobile.

actually, it depends on the reliability of the car. a car that is no where near the catastrophy of that of a cadillac is fine for me. infiniti q45t does it for me given the reports i read on it (those on this site not included)

i mean, i dont mind spending at most $1000 on this car but after spending that much, I expect peace of mind for at least a while

I have a better explanation to what am experiencing:

IF I drive over 80 MPH the front end starts to vibrate like aShiatsu Massager and you can feel it in the front seats - passengerand driver. The steering wheel starts to vibrate and shakes and you can see. Theheavy vibration can be felt on my foot from the accelerator pedal aswell. IT smooths out a little over very smooth roads and is almostnon existent at 70 MPH or below.

You purchased a car with 177000 miles on it { at least, did you verify the mileage discrepency with the service due at 206000 miles? } the downside of buying a reliable brand of high mileage vehicle just means that many, many parts that have already failed and been replaced on a non reliable brand, aka cadillac, lincoln, audi, etc, are just around the corner from failure, and will need to be replaced by you! the alternator, starter, water pump, struts, air conditioning system, rack, transmission, driveshaft, etc are probobly original and even with superior maintenance from day one( very unlikely}are ending their useful life.It amazes me why people buy such high mileage cars for low purchase prices, and dont see all the failures waiting to happen.

Truest, I would pull the Infiniti dealer history, and if you don't see motor mounts, transmission mounts, driveshaft and bearings done in the last 60K or so, I think you will have to spend a little more than $500 to get it right.

As Q45tech says, $3K on a primo low mileage used G50 is the usual minimum. Some of the "real cosmetically pretty" ones he sees require closer to $10K to get them back to as new OEM specifications. And lastly, as he has stated so many times previously, there is a reason you can buy a luxury car for 10% of it's new value.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45

i mean i know its a smooth sound but is there like a sssssss sound to it???

i'll take it to vespias or infiniti (whichever is cheaper) and see how much I have to put in this baby

btw, how much does it take to fix rotor problem or possibly have em replaced??

How does a 99 Q45t have that many miles on it? And as for sound, it's supposed to be very quiet.

i bought the car in nY and the dealer said the car was taken to a lot of places. it was driven to ohio, new england, florida and massachusetts. thats most likely why the engine is like that. some one please tell me thats not such a bad thing.

It's not, if the maintenance was correct and aggressive beyond OEM minimum requirements.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45
