I drove my 1991 Q today for about 120miles, everything went fine. I had it parked nicely. Four hours later, the car started but would not shift into any gear whatsoever. Tried depressing the shift lock to see if that would help, but nothing. Tried everything I know and it still will not shift. I am so worried. I have abandoned it out there hoping I would get some hint on how to go about solving this problem.Anyone with some knowledge on this? Certainly there will be one out there who has has a similar experience, please help.

There's a sensor activated by depressing the brake pedal which allows the transmission to shift out of park. Look for it in the DS footwell. IIRC, the shift lock should override this sensor so I'm not sure this is the problem. Worth looking at though. Good luck.
