So I'm lost, I am trying to smog my car but can't pass monitor cause my check engine light is on for speed sensor, the problem with that is I'm sure the sensor is fine because the tac never messes up and the speed was accurate when testing it, does anyone know what I should do?

The speed sensor has more to do with the ABS than the actual measurement of speed on the spedometer. Replace the sensor and be done with it. You can get one at http://www.RockAuto.com for about $25.
