CAR IS VERY HARD TO START WHEN COLD. I AM TALKING 5 ATTEMPTS BEFORE IT STARTS.

ALSO THE CAR WILL NOT LET ME GO OVER 2 K RPM. IT FEEL LIKE I AM HITTING A REV LIMITOR.

I HAVE SWAPPED ECU' , KNOCK SENSORS, & MAF.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I DO?

First, turn off the caps lock...

Second, I'm assuming this is a Maxima, since you posted in here.

What year is it?

Maybe, coil/coils IACV, EGR valve, did you check the wires going into the MAF? Is one possibly broken?

Does it sputter, like a clogged fuel filter, or dying fuel pump? Have you checked fuel pressure?

Battery have good AMPERAGE??? Most of the time people check volts, but what about the Amps?

if you cant do more than 2k on rpms, then that usually means there's a prob with the MAF. i understand you changed that out, but here's the catch. i went through 4 MAF's (thank god for warranties) until i realized it was the wires going into the plug that plugs into the MAF. they were backing out, so i got them resoldered (sp?) into the plug and voila. done.

IT IS A 96 MAX.

I DID CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER. I ALSO CHECKED FOR GOOD VOLTAGE AT THE MAF AND IT WAS GOOD. WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE.

it sounds like you have a cam sensor that went out on you. generally when a cam sensor goes out the car will go into what is called limp home mode which will basically is a fail safe mode and will also give you delayed start b/c it does not have the signal. see about pulling the codes and if there is a stored code for the cmp sensor then i would inspect the harness replace the sensor if there is nothing obviously wrong with the harness.
