I installed the 4x4parts lowering springs on my 2002 Pathfinder and the rear looks dropped nicely but the front is sitting up even higher than before. It looks like the Path is doing a wheelie lol

What could I have done wrong? Do they settle over time?
If this helps: about a year ago I changed to kyb struts on the front and back.

I will take a picture tomorrow on daylight.

Id check how the springs are seated in the rear, are you sure the put on the thick peice of rubber that goes between the top of the spring and the mounting location? It looks like it could be missing that and thats whats making it so low. Mine didnt look close to that, i would jack it up, take off the wheel and take a quick look.

Also, put your fingers between the tire and the fender flare in the rear, tell me how many fingers you can fit between it.

rear = 2 fingers + maybe 1/4 of another finger at most
I am pretty sure that the rear was installed perfectly since we had guidance from a mechanic. The thick rubber is in place and we were careful when jacking it down to see the springs going down where they were supposed to with the thick rubber.

but I think we screwed up somewhere in the front!
I left my path with my friend this week so that he could take it to his gas station workshop and ask the mechanic to check it carefully. Hopefully the problem will be fixed because it looks horrible :/

He says 3 finger gap in the rear

My guess is the front is where it is supposed to be but he has a stereo or something in the rear weighing it down

My car is 3 fingers all around but I have a stereo in the back and I cut a coil off the front springs

Wheels look dope though alfredo

thanks man! by the way check out my turbo path thread. I posted pictures of the oil feed line you were asking about.

I checked the rear and can only fit 2 1/4 fingers (when I said 3 I didn't actually put my fingers in)

I disconnected my 2 subwoofers since my radio is not turning on at the moment and I need to get it checked. Left the 2 amplifiers though.

OK, i think i know your issue. Rear should be about 2 to 2 1/4 fingers. For some reason maybe cause of the color of your car its more noticeable then mine was, which is another reason i installed the airlift. Rear i have about 3.5 fingers now- and thats at 5-7 psi, if i go more i can do 4 fingers around 8-9 psi. and it gives it a good stance.

Now, in the front, jack one side up a little bit so you can get a better view of the spring hat above the tire. The notch should be facing outwards of the car ( aka torwards you if you, if your looking straight at it ). I made this mistake when i put everything back together when i replaced alot of my front end stuff, i ended up having those hats with the notch pointing inward on the car and i knew something wasnt right. I knew i also read somewhere that the notch should be facing outwards, but i checked in my chilton manual and my suspicions were correct. I know i had it right when i installed them originally because i was using the chilton as a reference for certain things.

Also another thing is the front fender is designed different then the rear, which will also give the rear a more slammed appearance, look at your picture and the front fender flare. See how it swoops higher then the rear? Follow the top most body line on the door, and you will see in the rear it travels right above the flare, in the front it stops about halfway.

I will try this out and let you know! Thanks :)
