Ok, since this is my 1st post, I will introduce myself first.

My name is Alex, and I'm a 16Y.O student. I work on cars for fun and money, and even though I'm only 16, I am about to purchase my 4th car.

My first one was civic. Long story short,>92 Hatch>Ls-Vteck>boost>caput>fix>sold=profit.

So then I went on and bought a 95 integra, which I kept for a week. Again, long story short 95 integra>front swap>CF lip kit all around>Lowered>nice rims>sold>profit

Then I decided to go with something reliable, and got myself a 240SX. Story even shorter, it was auto, but I was tired with all that reliability crap and all the problems that I had with my civic, so wanted to drive stock sporty car. But after some research I discovered the awesomeness of 240's. So that is sold, and I m not looking for a descent manual 240

Down to my question, I found a nice one for sale around here locally, for a good price. The problem is, it's not running, The guy's claming that he has some sort of electrical wire problem, so it doesn't run. So, ok...not a problem to me.

Now the picture of engine bay worried me.

I noticed oil around spark plugs area. Now as far as I know, it's not good.

Please give me some advise!!!

Also, if I go see it, how can I find out if it's a major problem or not? Should I take the spark plugs out and check for oil on them?

if there is oil leaking from the plug gaskets then when u pull the wires you would see an oil bild up, if there is pull the valve cover and get a valve cover gasket kit. there under $30 and it will fix that isue.

other then that that car look like gold. around my area that would sell for 4-5k all day. lol.

Perfect, so It's nothing major? He also has some sorf of wiering problem, cuz he got new ECU, but is not sure why it's not working.

How expencive can that get?

It's only 2k. Everything is straight, only bent fender, but no rust, no faided paint etc.

explain that wiring problem. did he swap from SOHC to DOHC? check for rattle on the timing chain. they are notorious for that because of the top chain tensioner. once you do the valve cover gastket, you should remove that tensioner it's there already.

I second that... rust is the killer for these cars... check the frame and fender wells. Also the spare tire well in the trunk.

and thumbs up for a 16 y.o. flippin cars...
