help with ka24de motor

hi everyone i recently bought a 1993 ka24de with 209,xxx miles for really cheap and it was automatic 240sx .automatics get less wear right or is it the same? compression was 175 all around. since the motor has alot of miles im replacing all the seals and gaskets is there anything else i should replace or check?and whats the average ka24de life span?

Well, if the compression is good you're golden. The bearing might be a little worn inside the motor, but I wouldn't change those until your compression plumits. Change all of your vacuum lines, clean all of your sensors etc. Maybe run some seafoam through the intake. Swap the cap and rotor out...hmmm, run really good oil and press on. Might want to get your transmission fluid flushed. But that could be good or bad. Sometimesthe old fluid and "gunk" keeps the transmission shifting smoothly. New fluid could cause her to slip. But 200K is alot on fluid, can you find out if it was changed?

thanks PDRacing! your a genius! oh yeah im getting all the fluids changed im going from auto to manual transmission basically since my ka24de was bad. we checked the oil pan everything seems to be good . i will get back when the engine is being put back in . right now im waiting for a gasket set and clutch i ordered. thanks again
