I have a 91 240sx hatch with a ka24de and ive been researching around and ive decided I want to go with an individual throttle body setup. Ive seen a couple guys on here and the big "Z" where people use suzuki GSXR1000 throttle bodies and use rubber couplers to connect them. First off is this a sufficient means of attaching the throttle bodies? Next, would the 43mm bore of the throttle bodies on the gsxr1000 be big enough? If not what would be a good size to go with? Lastly what kind of fuel management setup would I need to run this type of setup and have it tuned properly? Thanks

I've never seen a write up of this setup giving exactly what you need, anyway, in datsun forums, 510 usually are swap to KA, and the like carb' n ITB's, you can get some clues on what to do, I think the bore will be more than enough... I think you will need a real good standalone, a piggyback won't be enough, you will need to run a MAP setting, and AEM EMS will do the job with a good tuner...

ohh... something else, I think you can make some custom runners to fit the intake ports to de ITB without using the silicone couplers...

good luck it's a nice setup, tons of work, but original and nice

Would the GSXR1000 be the throttle body's of choice, or would it be easier to a different ITB setup and still get a noticable improvemnt?

I remember reading once someone who had did it said the only way they could tune it was with a MegaSquirt... It'll be a hell of a lot of work, but post pics

Good luck!

i want to do the same set up on my 91 hatchback... the problem is not many people have done this. most people think its not worth the money because there isnt much power gain. but i think with some cam and valve springs it would be a great upgrade.

ive only seen one guy whos done it on a different site and he used megasquirt2 for engine management. keep me posted good luck.
