help with intake

the inlet tube right next to the the TB what does it do ...it bolts up to the intake manifold after having some collant lines run through it...is there a way of making this thing go away....with out sacrifising performance

im not sure what it does (i think its used somewhere in the fuel system im not too sure) but no you CANNOT get rid of it

it helps control the idle if we are talkng about the same intake. it sorta splits off the cold pipe right?

anyways, that goes to an idle controller i beleive

soo if i block the flage on the surge tank i shopuld be able to get rid of it right

You want to make sure tht if you block this off, it will not affect anything later. The Power Fc relies on this heavily to check the condition of the engine.
