help with info..

Hey folks...i was just wondering...when building a KAT...what should i look for in the engine? like milage and such....i just dont want to spend the money trying to turbo an engine that will die quickly...so ur help would be much appreciated...thanks

mileage, compression tests, leaks, abnormal sounds.oh and if it runs fine before the turbo.

compression around 173psi across the board

Milage is just a general indication as to how worn parts on the engine are. Its not a science whatsoever. Personally, if it runs strong, does not make any funny noises, throw on a bit of boost.

if you have done the regular mainteinance, sure......just don't over boost it.

7 psi is by no means high boost. What were you think of for fuel management?

Edit: I guess it's more appropriate to ask what your goals/use for the car will be.

well, first i have to find one!!! (I live in PA too and its hard as heck to find one..lol) but, im just learning while i can so when the time comes...im somewhat knowledgeable...i think my goal is 300-350hp....any imput would be much appreciated...or hell...even if u know where i can find one!! lol thanks
