ok, so I did a 5-speed swap (i love it by the way), but it seems that when I accelerate to 15 mph in 1st and even shift after 10 mph to 2nd, there is a very very heavy vibration in the shift lever. It feels like the car is going to fall apart really bad. The noise smooths out after 15 mph after giving a big rattling noise from under my seat. Im thinking drive shaft balance or u joint maybe? The motor mounts are in good shape. I just replaced my broken one, but its still doing it. I need some serious help before I break something driving this thing around.

i havent checked it lately, but its seems to be brand new when I bought the x-member for the transmission. Im wondering if its the driveshaft. Does anyone have a picture of the small part of the driveshaft. There was some rubber pieces that were on the driveshaft, and it seemed like there were some bolts missing. Could I get a pic on what it is supposed to look like?

i just looked at my mount and it seems ok. There is a considerable amount of oil all over my transmission tho, and all over my frame!! WTF! that might have to do with the shaking because the oil might be escaping out of the top of the transmission swishing around like that. Its a pretty heavy vibration.

Fresh oil?

That is a problem.......But Im not qualified to instruct you further. I would top off my gear oil to be sure, and go from there.
