So my passenger side headlight went out a while back and I went to fix it, but simply taking the bulb out and putting it back in seemed to fix it after fiddling with the way the wire bends. That held for quite some time before it went out again, no big deal, I could mess with the wires again, and I have extra bulbs. Unfortunately it's not a bulb, and I can't get the light to come back on. I'm assuming this is a wiring issue? The wiring seems to go into the deep, dark abyss that is under my hood. Does anyone know where the wire for the headlight goes and how I can get to it/what I might need to do to fix this?

Welcome!
Sounds like no fun, never been there myself- but the fsm in the "everything you need to know...Z32" thread is your friend in this case.
Pretty much every test and such for our deep, dark abyss of a car!

There's a ton of different things a headlight issue could be, but if you've already fixed it once by just moving the wires around, I'd say you have a short somewhere. Break out the multimeter and a wiring diagram and go point to point. I'd say you probably have power at the relay but not at the connector, which could be as simple as running a new length of wire.

Fixing it for a while screams the problem is right there local to where you messed with the wires, likely a socket or socket connector issue.
