Help with headlight housings??

Ok, I ordered a pair of clear corners projector headlight housings from ebay for my 2000 i30t and I get them in and they aren't compatible with my HID bulbs, so here I sit confused and wondering why these lights are incompatible with the HID's. Were there i30's that did not have HID lighting from the factory? And if there were, then why do none of the auctions that I have looked at on ebay specify that they are for halogens only? I've never seen an i30 without HID's so I thought that they all had them from the factory. Can anyone set me straight on this?

Most projector housings sold on ebay that claim to be JDM are usually non-HID.

Check on the front lense of the headlight and see if it says D2R or D2S that will tell you if they are HID compatible or not. The D2R and D2S means it uses HID bulbs.

I believe some I30's come with HID as option but not standard. Not 100% sure though, know more about the A33 Maxima than anything lol.

Ok, well, in that case, would anyone like to purchase a set of projector headlights for the 00-04 Infiniti I30 that are brand new, because they won't work for me, and I have a feeling that the ebay store i purchased them from isn't going to give me a refund. If anyone is interested, just let me know, they were 150 shipped from ebay.

HID headlights were an option on non-I30t's (2000-2001) and were part of the I30t package.

Pretty sure that is correct.
