I'll be on any road going about 55+ MPH and the car seems like it's floating. . . and it seems unstable. Sometimes it feels like it rocks slightly from the back left corner to the front right corner.

I'm thinking maybe a shock is out or something. It's a 92 fastback with about 153,000 miles, so I wouldn't be suprised if it is something like that. Other than that the car seems to handle just fine in slower conditions, but when I'm on the freeway I'd rather feel a bit safer.

Any recommendations? Also If there are any old threads on this topic that I missed please driect me to them.

Thanks a lot!Craig

it's a good excuse to get some new KYB AGX adjustable shocks/struts. you'll like those. or even Tokico shocks or KYB GR2 shocks. each are nice and stiff...might as well get some springs too. it all depends on the cash you want to spend.

Yeah, you probably have blown shocks. Maybe one, or maybe more. I had the same problem when I was on the highway or when I hit big bumps in the road. I replaced mine with kyb agx and am happy with the results.

I noticed when pushing down on the left rear corner of my car it bounced a little bit compared to the others which would come back up immediately.

Yeah new shocks and springs would be very nice. . . good excuse heh heh

When I finally do upgrade, I was thinking of Eibach Sportlines with KYB GR2 shocks. Also, when I get them, can I install everything myself, or are the springs under too much pressure?

Thanks!!

our cars should not bounce at all! all 4 corners should be real stiff. if you want to install yourself, you'll want to get a spring compressor. see if you can maybe rent one...
