Ok here is the break-down. I have a 98 240, before I bought it the previous owner put in a 95 ka24de OBD1 engine for reason unknown. Anyways the car runs like crap after 4 grand and I tracked it down to be the front o2 sensor. The problem is my car has a 3 wire sensor and 95 obd1 have a 1 wire o2 sensor. How do I go about converting it? I've searched around and have found nothing on the subject and you guys have been here to help me with everything else. But anyways thanks for your time.

You can't really. Because the more wires the more complex it is. 1 wire is ground, 1 wire is power, and usually the other wire is the sensor unit itself that tells the computer machine what the ratio is. I believe that's what it is.

Ok what if I buy the 95 sensor and trace the o2 sensor wire from the computer and just re-run it that way. The computer in the car is a 95 computer and i do believe that pinout 46 is the one for the sensor. My only worry is what to do with the ground.

For grounding just ground it to the frame or something. Bu that might work. You are using the right harness right? Not the original 98 harness.

well see that is the thing. The retard that swapped the motor before I got it hacked everything up...I think he had an sr20 in it before. but some parts seem to be 98 and other are def. 95 everything that i have replaced for it so far has been 95 and the plugs fit perfect.

You will need to get the 95 harness and everything should be just a drop in and plug deal. Other than what I said I don't know how to go from obd2 down to obd1 harness work.
