hi i have a 93 240 and i just finished building and turbocharging it and i tried to start it for the first time this weekend and when i turn it over it has a rough idle for about 8 seconds then it dies and the throttle has no affect at all so i was thinking it was the z32 maf but i wanted to know if any one has any other ideas

So many questions...You give us the most info possible and we'll be able to help.

Did you change your injectors? Is your ECU modified in some way to handle these new injectors? Is your IACV hooked up? Is your MAF wired properly? Is your ECU tuned somehow for for the Z32 MAF?

These are just some basic ideas.

Distributor improperly aligned is one of the more common issues.

maybe you wired your z32 maf backwards? the thick white wire is the signal and the small white wire is the 12v. i wired mine backwards and flooded the hell out of my engine.

when you turboed your car did you touch your distributor or timing chain? if you did, then that might be off, even though you think its not.
