what are the specifics in that?

vinyls don't last as long as clothes? how long before i have to replace another top with the vinyl?

A friend that has a Mazda Miata that came with a vinyl top told me that Mazda recommends replacing it every 4-6 years. You can get twice that out of a cloth top plus they look ALOT better. Just my 2 cents.

I searched, but that thread was not in stickie. It needs to be there.Yeah, you are better off with cloth top. It should last longer and that's what everyone says. I also don't like faded look on old vinyl top.

there aren't any specifics really...not only won't vinyl last as long, but like already said, it fades, and can tear easy. think...would you want to wear blue jeans (canvas) or fake leather (vinyl) jeans? hope that helps.

Any other threads you guys see that should be in that sticky thread.. let me know!

I was thinking of adding another section to that thread for "project threads". Link to a bunch of our best project threads..

yeah, this thread has exhausted it's original purpose. time to pirate this thread

i think it's a cool idea. we've got a TON of great projects in the vert forum. maybe it will help encourage people to take even MORE PICTURES and post MORE DETAILS about what they're doing. We all love a good project thread.

been a while since you've given me a hard time. where have you been?

i at least have shelter from the wind... i was out in my "lab" last night and the wind had to be 30-40mph all night. i need trees, badly. i'd settle for insulation and osb too.

Anyone tried this guy from Ebay? his feedback looks good and he looks like he makes all these tops by himself.
